Medicinal Plant Walks
Meeting at: Trailhead near Red Lodge, Montana
Join me for a 90 minute stroll and discover the amazing wealth of wild, delicious, medicinal, and fungal plants that you can enjoy as food and for better health. We will walk close to a trailhead near Red Lodge and identify and talk about the culinary and medicinal uses of these amazing plants, rich in vitamins and minerals. This time of the season could always provide some tasty mushrooms to identify as well. The walk is very slow with lots of stops to talk about the plants. We'll focus on native plants, as well how to ethically collect plants in the wild. If the group would prefer, we will focus more deeply on a few plants, rather than talking briefly about many plants.
Our time in the woods is precious and vitally important to our well-being. Spend 90 therapeutic minutes in nature - relax, unwind, recharge, leave your phone, computer, deadlines, and worries behind.
So come on out and learn about our wonderful and useful wild plants, so close to home! Starting location will be given after registration.
*Walking distance will be less than one mile total.
Kids under ten are free.
The walk will occur rain or shine, so check the weather and make sure you either have sun or rain protection and will stay warm.
