In this class, you'll learn about many of our wild woodland plants!
Come for a slow stroll as we discuss our local medicinal, edible, and fungal plants. We will identify and talk about the culinary and medicinal uses of the plants we see. Throughout the season we'll encounter new growth, flowers, berries, and mushrooms! Our focus will be on native plants, as well as how to ethically collect plants in the wild. Depending on what the group prefers, we can focus more deeply on a few plants or we can talk briefly about many plants.
Our time in the woods is precious and vitally important to our well-being. Spend a couple of therpeutic hours in the forest - relax, unwind, recharge, leave your cell phone, computer, worries, and deadlines behind. So come for a walk, breathe deeply, and learn about the wonderful plants so close to home. It will be worth it!
The walk will occur rain or shine.
